This month’s shared movie will be shown on March 20th at 6:30pm at the home of Laurie Dameron. (Address divulged upon RSVP.)
This month the Movie Night Team has selected a documentary called Where to Invade Next by Michael Moore (director of Bowling in Columbine, Sicko, and many other films that look at America from a decidedly non-traditional, non-conformist, non-corporate angle).
In this film “America’s favorite provocateur” provides “an expansive, hilarious, and subversive comedy in which the Academy Award-winning director, playing the role of “invader,” visits a host of nations to “steal” some of their best ideas and bring them back home to the U.S. of A.” This is an “epic movie unlike anything he has ever done — an eye-opening call to arms to capture the American Dream and restore it in, of all places, America.”
The team chose a documentary because it’s easier to stop a few times during the screening and chat about what’s going on on the screen, which will add some more social interaction to the evening. It’ll be a fun and relaxing evening!
And where can you see a movie for less? Nowhere, that’s where. You pay your hard-working movie coordinators a single $TD and you get to see a movie, spend time with friends, and enjoy the afternoon. Please bring a snack or beverage (no alcohol please) to share with other attendees.
Contact your friends and invite them to join you, then go to our MeetUp site to RSVP.
